Dysport

Dysport is an injectable treatment that is used to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) and other facial wrinkles. It contains botulinum toxin type A, which works by blocking nerve signals to the muscles, leading to a temporary reduction in muscle activity. This helps to smooth out wrinkles and fine lines.

Here are some key points about Dysport:

• Treatment Areas: While it is commonly used for frown lines, Dysport can also be used in other areas of the face, such as the forehead and around the eyes (crow’s feet).

• Procedure: The treatment is relatively quick, often taking only 10 to 20 minutes. A healthcare provider will inject Dysport into the targeted muscles using a fine needle.

• Results: Patients typically start to see results within a few days, with full effects visible within about two weeks. The results can last for three to six months, after which repeat treatments are usually needed to maintain the desired effect.
